What equipment is required to play?
At the 8U/10U age group, there is VERY limited body contact. Your primary goal is to play the ball on the ground - not the man. However, lacrosse is a contact sport in which you use a stick to dislodge the ball from your opponent's stick.
Here is the link of required equipment. It will take you to our feeder youth program at the Gainesville RedHawks. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Who is the 8U/10U Team for?
For those who are brand new to the game of lacrosse or who have limited experience. It can also be a supplement for those who currently play on a team.
What do you plan to teach at these Practices?
These clinics will teach ground ball play, shooting, catching, throwing, dodging, and defending. We will also go over the basics of the game and rules for safety. There is not a lot of standing around. Our systems are built upon getting a lot of reps in to build technique.
What will I need at the time of registration?
1. The system will walk you through obtaining your son's USLacrosse number. This number ($25) provides him with insurance that allows him to compete in the clinics for up to 1 year. You CANNOT register without this.
2. You will need to make a credit card payment. (You can also pay by pay pal if you prefer.)
